This is not fake news. Most of the metal double-wall tumblers (travel mugs/cups) you can get now are in the same category, as far as how long they will keep liquids hot or cold, as the YETI ones are. They cost considerably less.
They are not some cheap knock-offs either. They use the same technology, which is referred to as being vacuum sealed, vacuum insulated, or vacuum copper insulated; to keep your liquids hot or cold for long periods of time.
Prices start out in the teens for some of these new ones. So while a little higher priced than regular double wall tumblers and bottles, they are quite a bargain still.
Here are some examples:

- Some look more like traditional travel tumblers.
- Some have different color lids.
- These are colorful and contemporary.

- Even the sport bottles.
- These are great! Use as a tumbler or put a can/bottle in it for a drink holder!
So my advice is that if you do not absolutely have to have a name-brand piece of drinkware, let us or someone else show you what’s available. Or you can just search for “vacuum sealed” and see what you find.
